A Cortland man was arrested Tuesday (December 31) afternoon, following a sex abuse investigation by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department spanning back several years.
The accused is 55-year-old David White, of Rickard Street, who investigators say had inappropriate contact with several female juvenile victims during separate incidents in Cortland, Homer and Scott.
These crimes are reported to have occurred between 2010 and 2013, according to Sgt. Anthony Phelps.
White was charged with six individual counts of first-degree sex abuse (Class-D felony), along with six counts of endangering the welfare of a child (Class-A misdemeanor).
He was arraigned separately in the Town of Homer and City of Cortland and remanded to the county jail without bail.
That’s where he will remain until his scheduled appearances in Cortland City Court on January 6 and Homer Town Court on January 7.
