Cortland Man Charged With DWI, Open Container by Sheriff’s Office

A traffic stop was conducted by an officer with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office just after 9:30 in the evening on Wednesday, April 2nd on Route 11 in Cortlandville. During the investigation, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 26 year old Quentin W. Curtis of Cortland, was found to be driving the vehicle while intoxicated.

Officers arrested and charged Curtis with DWI, Driving with .08 of one percent or more of Alcohol, both Misdemeanors, and Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage/Possession of Open Container; he also faces multiple traffic infractions.

Curtis was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and later released on an appearance ticket. He is due in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
