After an investigation the Cortland County Sheriffs has charged 30-year old Curtis Lunsford of Homestead drive in Cortland.
He is facing Welfare fraud in the fourth degree, a Class E felony, and Grand Larceny in the fourth degree, a Class E felony.
Lunsford failed to report his income from October 2020 to January 2021 to the Cortland County Department of Social Services.
By failing to report the required information he was then not entitled to in excess of $1,700 in benefits.
Lunsford was issued an appearance ticket upon his arrest and is scheduled to appear in Cortland City Court on January 3, 2021.
