On Sunday afternoon, June 25th, around 2:45 pm, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart in Cortlandville for a reported larceny that had taken place.
During an investigation by officers, it was determined 28 year old Michael J. Pittman of Cortland, had failed to render payment for merchandise before he left the store.
Pittman was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. He was taken to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and later released with an appearance ticket.
