Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday arrested a Cortland man following an investigation of inappropriate behavior involving a child.
Law enforcement determined that over the summer, 32-year old Philip Hutchings had subjected a child to inappropriate sexual contact on two separate occasions while at a residence in the Town of Homer. Hutchings is charged with felony sexual abuse as well as 2 counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child and 2 misdemeanor counts of forcible touching.
He’s released on his own recognizance and will return to Town of Homer Court to face the charges at a later date.
