Cortland Man Arrested After Intentionally Damaging Property, Prevented Person From Calling 9-1-1

Around 3am on Sunday, July 7th, officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in the Town of Cortlandville for a reported disturbance. After an investigation into the disturbance, officers determined 19 year old Kanye J. Israel of Cortland, had damaged property and prevented a person from contacting 9-1-1.

Israel was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief in the 4th, a Misdemeanor. He was taken to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed, arraigned, and later released on his own recognizance. Israel is due in Cortlandville Town Court next week.
