A Cortland County man is accused of fighting with his teenage son and hitting him with a van.
On Tuesday, State Police responded to a report of people fighting on Blodgett Mills Rd. in Cortlandille.
Troopers say 43-year-old David W. Sanford of Cortland was involved in a fight with his 16-year-old son.
At some point, Sanford got into his van and struck his son as he drove away. The teen was taken to Cortland Regional Medical Center where he was treated for back pain and dizziness.
Sanford was charged with a felony count of assault and a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
He was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandville Court and released after posting $750 cash bail or $1,500 bond.
