The Cortland County Legislature’s Building & Grounds Committee will hold a special meeting next week to review a study that was done on potential renovations upcoming at the county courthouse.
County officials say the comprehensive report gathered information about not only what needs to be done, but what grant money could be obtained to minimize or absolve the financial burden of the project on taxpayers.
Past discussions have included improvements such as restoring the building’s front steps and historic dome roof, along with additional plans for the outdoor space that makes up Courthouse Park.
Some internal work will likely need to be done as well, including duct work, wiring and whatever else is determined in the study.
Thursday’s meeting begins at 8 am at the county office building.
