A local business is one of 11 statewide to be named in the latest round of grants from the New York Power Authority.
The Cortland-based New York Hemp Oil — an LLC owned by Main Street Farms — was awarded $3.5M to support 20 full-time jobs at the company. Ten existing positions will be retained and another ten will be created.
Governor Cuomo announced the funding yesterday as part of his ReCharge NY program.
Eleven projects in total are will receive more than $127M in private capital investments, helping to support over 620 jobs across the state.
Eight awards were provided through ReCharge NY energy allocations, while the remaining three are tied to specific initiatives focused on Western New York.
