The Cortland County Health Department’s urging residents to get their COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations as soon as they can.
Individuals 6 months of age and older can receive either vaccine, and both shots can be taken at the same time. Either dosage is safe to get if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or are thinking of becoming pregnant in the future. Being vaccinated for each illness can lessen its severity should you get COVID or the Flu; medical officials say it’s also not possible to get the COVID-19 or Flu viruses from the vaccines themselves. Residents 12 and over are also advised to get the updated COVID booster to protect against Omicron if it’s been at least two months since their last dosage.
