The City of Cortland Fire Department responded to a reported fire in the city’s 3 ward on Saturday, June 3rd.
Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the pile of wood that was on fire on the side of a detached garage. The fire was extinguished quickly and prevented any major damage or the fire spreading into the garage.
Cortland Fire is urging all residents who use grills, smokers, and any other outdoor cooking appliances, to keep it a safe distance of at least 15 feet from any combustibles.
