Cortland Elks has donated $5,500 to the City Police Department.
The grant money will support the Community Oriented Policing program and the department’s Shop with a Cop event.
This provides disadvantaged youth with a shopping spree during the holidays, joined by local police officers at the Cortlandville Walmart.
Elks representatives stated: “It is always an honor and pleasure to give back to Cortland and the youth of this great community.”
Don’t forget — the lodge will host a free costume giveaway this Sunday for area families from noon until 4:00 pm.
Children must be accompanied by parents.
