It’s the 66th year of National Association of Conservation Districts’ Soil and Water Stewardship Week — and also the 75th anniversary of the Cortland County Soil and Water Conservation District.
This year’s theme is “Healthy Forests, Healthy Communities.”
Conservation of natural resources is important in every community. Trees and forests help provide clean air and water, healthy soil, shade, wildlife habitat, jobs and valuable products we use every day.
Help promote healthy forests at home or in the community through planting trees or using marked trails while visiting local forests to help prevent the spread of invasive species.
