The Cortland County SPCA is looking for two individuals after a recent dog biting incident that took place on Monday, June 12th around 3:30 in the afternoon.
On Monday afternoon, an employee from the Cortland Line Company found two individuals fishing on the river on company property. The employee asked both individuals that they were on private property and that fishing was not permitted.
Both individuals were polite and got into their vehicle to leave. As they were leaving the property, the dog that was with them had bitten the employees hand. The dog was described as a black and tan Beagle mix.
The two persons were described as an older male around 6 feet tall with brown hair, and an older woman, skinny, with long red hair. The vehicle they were driving was an early 2000s 2-door white Dodge Ram with rust spots.
The Cortland County SPCA is asking anyone who may have information to contact their office at 607-753-9386 or the Cortland County Health Department at 607-753-5036.
The main reason the SPCA is looking for information is to see the employee will not have to go through preventative rabies injections.
