Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Angel Road in the Town of Truxton for a report of a burglary that had occurred sometime during the day on Friday, September 8th.
An investigation by officers found that 36 year old Matthew S. Clark of Cortland had entered the residence when no one was inside and stole multiple items from the house. Officers searched for Clark, but were unable to locate him and issued a warrant for his arrest.
Officers located Clark a few days later on September 12th and arrested him. He is facing charges of Burglary in the 2nd, a Felony, and Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. Clark was arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process and later released on his own recognizance.
