The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating multiple burglaries that took place last week in the Village of Marathon and in the Town of Truxton. The Sheriff’s Office is asking for public assistance for information regarding the two incidents mentioned below.
On Wednesday, March 22nd, officers from the Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported burglary at Lyon Drilling on Shackham Rd in the Town of Truxton. During an investigation officers believe the burglary took place between March 19th and 22nd. Stolen from the business was welding equipment. Those who may have information to provide to the Sheriff’s Office are asked to contact Inv./Lt. Williams at 607-758-5583.
The following day, March 23rd, Officers responded to the Village of Marathon at Generations Hair Salon at 2 E. Main Street for another reported burglary. Items stolen from the salon included several haircare products. Officers believe this burglary took place between March 22nd and the 23rd. Anyone with information is asked to contact Inv./Sgt.
