Cortland County Sheriff Mark Helms was happy to announce the recent graduation of Derran Smith, and Brent Thomas from the Corrections Officers Basic Training Academy on May 6th.
The Chenango County Sheriff’s office hosted the academy which consists of 8 weeks of intense training including classroom instruction & testing on a wide array of Correction Officer related laws, policies, and best practices.
Congratulations to Correction Officers Derran and Brent.
