Cortland County has lost three more members of the community to the covid-19 virus.
That adds up to 69 total thus far during the nearly year-and-a-half pandemic.
Each of the latest was a nursing home resident.
Their deaths were first announced by the NYSDOH, then relayed by officials with the county health department.
Active cases are at their highest level since January, spiking last month from a mere 17 reported August 2 to more than 150 on August 31.
Currently, 166 are infected, including five people in the hospital.
SUNY Cortland accounts for about 30 active positives and TC3 around 10, according to the state’s SUNY data tracker.
