A list of the top 20 counties in New York State was released by Stacker.com of counties that are in the most need when it comes to bridge repair.
Cortland County came in 8th in the top 20 with at least 14.7% of bridges within the county considered to be in poor condition (27 of 189 bridges). Stacker.com conducted the investigation of bridges in the state that are in need of repair using information provided from the Federal Highway Administration with the information accurate from June 15th.
Neighboring Tompkins County was ranked 17th on the list. Tompkins County had a reported 11.5% of bridges in need of repair (22 of 191 bridges).
