The organization Cortland County Mutual Aid is currently doing a fundraiser for their Really Free Market endeavor.
The initiative is a local, community based food distribution. The focus of it is to provide food and household goods to the less fortunate in a judgment-free and supportive environment. Currently, the group plans to continue serving around 40 families a month and to provide some special holiday meals at the market in November, December, and January.
The Really Free Market initiative began in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated financial stresses. For more information, visit cortlandmutualaid.org.
