The Cortland County Legislature has their legislative session scheduled for tomorrow (June 23rd) at 6pm at the Legislative Chambers in the County Officer building on Central Ave in the City of Cortland.
A public hearing will be held regarding the local law of abolishing the elected officer of county treasurer, the proposed Tompkins Cortland Community College 2022-2023 operating budget, and Local Law “G” of a 2022 local law further amending local law 2 of 1972, a local law reapportioning the County of Cortland. That has to do with Redistricting the County.
Also on the agenda will be to adopt an amendment to the New York State Open Meetings Law for the expanded use of videoconferencing. The law will continue the use for videoconferencing to be able to conduct open meetings.
Modernization of the Cortland County Office will also be discussed. The County Legislature plans to address much needed repairs and modernization of the elevators within the building.
The amendment for the budget for the updates is expected to be $100,000.
