The latest numbers show 19,269 Cortland County residents (40.29% of the population) have received their first dose of vaccine.
Yesterday, seven new cases were added, but no new hospitalizations; 369 people are being monitored and three people are currently in the hospital.
Last week, the county surpassed 4200 confirmed cases since the start of this pandemic.
A first-dose clinic is planned for Wednesday of next week (May 5) from 12:30 to 2:30 pm at SUNY Cortland.
Residents 18 and older can make an appointment using an online form.
County Health officials have been focusing primarily on running second-dose clinics due to the Johnson & Johnson pause, which only recently ended.
They’re now waiting for production of the J&J shot to ramp back up. In the meantime, they’ll be using Moderna.
