Cortland County Legislative Chairman Paul Heider announced today that all Cortland County Houses of Worship – including churches, temples and mosques – can open immediately at 25% of maximum occupancy.
Chairman Heider credits the CNY Team Leaders, Onondaga County Executive, Ryan McMahon, Madison County Chairman, John Becker, Oswego County Chairman, James Weatherup and Cayuga County Chairwoman, Aileen McNabb-Coleman for their persistent and unwavering stance on accomplishing this goal.
Heider said “I am confident, that if it were not for the work of our CNY Team, Houses of Worship would not have been able to open today. Houses of Worship are permitted to operate at a maximum of 25 % occupancy of the building that they are in. They must follow the guidelines of social distancing. It is up to our faith based partners to come up with a safe strategy for reopening at 25%.”
