According to the Cortland County Department of Social Services, a temporary warming center opened beginning yesterday afternoon at 49 Grant Street in the City of Cortland.
This location will be open for those who need a place to stay warm as temperatures dip below 32 degrees. The center will be open on the following dates and times.
Tuesday, October 31st from 4:30pm – 8:30am on November 1st
Wednesday, November 1st from 4:30pm – 8:30am on November 2nd
Thursday, November 2nd from 4:30pm – 8:30am on November 3rd
If temperatures are predicted to be at 32 degrees or less after that, the Salvation Army operated warming centers will be open. Details on those sites and hours of operation can be found on the Cortland County Department of Social Services website.
