After a month long investigation the Cortland County Drug Task Force which consists of the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, Cortland Police Department, New York State Police, and Homer Police Department. The task force served a narcotics search warrant on May 13th on a residence located on Greenbush Street in the City of Cortland.
During the search warrant, officers located nearly 200 baggies of Heroin, 3 grams of meth, buprenorphine strips, Oxycodone pills, packaging materials, scales and an undisclosed amount of US Currency.
The amount of controlled substances found at the residence had an approximate street value of over $6,700.
Officers arrested 30 year old Zane Zimmerman and charged him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree, both Felonies, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree-2-counts, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree-2counts, Both Misdemeanors.
Zimmerman was arraigned in Cortland City Court and released on his own recognizance due to New York State Bail Reform.
He is due back in Court on June 8th.
