The Cortland Common Council met last night and worked through their long list of agenda items with one of those items approving the Cortland County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CCCVB) to provide promotional services for the City of Cortland.
The services will include promoting the city’s Crown City Rising brand through the website CrownCityRising.org, social media platforms, newsletters and other public engagement and marketing areas.
Part of the plan will include the CCCVB administering a restaurant and retail voucher and incentivized spending program for local businesses. The program will be a collaboration between the City of Cortland, Cortland County BDC, Cortland Chamber of Commerce, Cortland County Tavern & Restaurant Association, and other partners.
As part of the new agreement with the CCCVB, the CCCVB will retain a 10% administrative fee for their work.
