Cortland County BDA Accepting Applications for Latest Microenterprise Assistance Program

The Cortland County Business Development Agency has announced that it is accepting applications for the latest microenterprise assistance program. The microenterprise program is designed to help small business owners within the City of Cortland that have five or fewer employees, owner included.


Income must be low or moderate by the owner or new hires. The funds, if awarded, may go towards new equipment, inventory, working capital and other uses for the business. Those who are eligible for the funding may receive a grant up to $35,000 dollars.

An in-person meeting will also be conducted for those interested in the microenterprise assistance program on January 17th at 5:30pm at the Cortland County Chamber of Commerce located at 83 Main St. in Cortland. There will be a remote meeting the following day (January 18th) at 3pm. Those interested in the remote meeting should contact Ryan at Ryan@ThomaDevelopment.com.

All applications are due by February 20th.
