The Cortland County Legislature convened during their monthly meeting yesterday, Thursday, December 22nd, at 6pm at the County Office Building in the City of Cortland.
One of the items on the agenda was awarding a bid and authorizing an agreement for a general contractor, electrical and HVAC contractors for the County Courthouse Entryway renovation project.
The county has solicited proposals from multiple contractors for general contractor, electrical and HVAC contractors.

The winning bids for the project are as follows:
General contractor:
Raymond E. Kelley, Inc. bid amount of $1,125,470 dollars
Electrical contractor:
Upstate Companies I, LLC. bid amount $367,000 dollars
HVAC contractor:
AN Curtiss Company, Inc. bid amount $144,979 dollars
The Building and Grounds Committee had recommended to the Legislature to award the lowest bidder. Those bidders would be Raymond E. Kelley, Inc., Upstate Companies I, LLC., and AN Curtiss Company, Inc.
A grant secured by Assembly member Anna Kelles helped secure funding totaling $2,396,000 dollars from the Dormitory Authority of NY.
