Cortland County Airport Awarded Federal Funding to Replace Snow Removal Equipment
On Friday, New York Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand announced they have secured over $40 million dollars in federal funding for 16 airports in the state, including Cortland County Chase Field. The funding was secured through the Infrastructure Law that was enacted back in 2021.
“The Bipartisan Infrastructure & Jobs Law is helping New York’s airports reach new heights! From big cities like Albany and Rochester to our rural communities, New York’s airports are a gateway for commerce and our tourism industry and vital connectors for residents and visitors. That’s why I fought to ensure they have the resources they need to deliver a safe and comfortable experience to travelers,” said Senator Schumer.
Cortland County Chase Field will receive $369,550 towards the replacement of aging snow removal equipment. Chase Field is located on Route 222 and provides a general aviation facility.
