The Common Council of Cortland County voted Tuesday night by unanimous decision to ban smoking on Main Street in the City of Cortland.
The ban would apply to cigarettes, vaping, and cannabis consumption, and would not allow smoking within 25 feet of either Main Street sidewalks or buildings. The measure last came up for vote in October, though action was delayed at the time in order to work out issues with the law’s proposed language.
The Council also passed a measure to amend City Code relative to towing fees, storage fees, and towing service insurance coverage.
