The City of Cortland Common Council will meet tonight beginning at 6pm at City Hall on Court Street. Before the meeting, the city plans to recognize Linda Armstrong for her years of service to the city, and recognizing those who assisted the families affected by the Clayton Ave. structure that night. The City will also hear a recycling update from Chris Spadolini, the County Recycling Coordinator.

Two public hearings will also be held, one will be on the proposed local law No. 14 of 2023 relating to Override the cap on tax levy, and the other proposed 2024 City Budget as filed by the Common Council.

The Common Council will also look at approving a new member to the City of Cortland Fire Commission, and authorizing collective bargaining agreements with the City of Cortland Cortland School Crossing Guards, Cortland Professional Fire Fighters Association, and the Cortland Civil Service Employees Association.

The meeting is open to the public and available via Zoom for those who cannot attend. You may find the Zoom link HERE.
