Cortland City PD welcomes 2 rookie officers
Local News August 12, 2020Two brand-new officers were welcomed into the City of Cortland Police Department at the end of last month.
Rookie officers Austin Fiske and Kory Olson were both sworn in back in January, before recently completing their six months of police academy training in Syracuse.
They graduated with 42 other officers from agencies throughout Central New York on Friday, July 24.
The following Monday (July 27) then began their 14 week in-service training with senior field training officers.

Meanwhile, CPD is now recruiting for its upcoming Police Office exam on September 26, 2020.
Interested applicants need to fully complete and submit an application by 4:30 PM on Tuesday, August 25.
