We can share more of what’s on the agenda for Tuesday night’s Cortland City Council meeting.
Council may accept a $2-million NYSERDA grant for a methane gas to electricity conversion component of the upgrade to the Waste Water Plant.
Council may authorize applying for a state grant for up to a $500,000 for a pedestrian bridge over the Tioughnioga River.
Another grant would be from the DEC and council may authorize applying for funding for a food waste vermicomposting project.
Think of it as turning worms loose to do what they do to food waste.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 pm at City Hall.
