The Cortland-based “Head and Heal” CBD company announced yesterday that they’re now officially USDA Certified Organic.

Their newest designation from the USDA comes just weeks after Sen. Charles Schumer announced progress at the federal level issuing clearer guidelines for an industry that continues to grow across the country.

Schumer visited the farm in November to call on the federal government to provide such clarity.

Head and Heal makes products with CBD oil derived from industrial hemp plants they grow themselves on their 60-acre farm adjacent to the former Reed Seeds on State Route 215 in Cortland.

According to their website, their mission is to “committed to bringing the best, broad and full spectrum CBD products to our customers while creating jobs and supporting our local economy.
