Cortland Arts Connect Announces Extension of Regional Photography Exhibit Entry
Cortland Arts Connect has extended the entry date deadline for their 14th annual Regional Photography Exhibit; the deadline has been extended to Friday, August 30th. The exhibit gives an opportunity to photographers to share their work in the community and also celebrate the art of photography while competing for awards and recognition.
The exhibit will be on display at the Cortland Free Library for the months of October and November. This year includes new categories for photographers in taking photos of whats around them. The categories are: Blue, Vegetables, and Metal. Cortland Arts Connect says standard digital techniques including brightness, contrast, and sharpening for enhancing their final image are also acceptable.
A fourth category was also created titled “Wild Card” of digital manipulation. The photo must be original by the photographer or a digital original. They then may be allowed to manipulate the image in any way they’d like and the most creative way they can think.
After the deadline is passed, the selection will be judged and applicants will be notified if their work is accepted the following day on August 31st. The entry fee to participate is $20 for up to two photos.
