Yesterday morning, New York State Parole Officers made a visit to 26 Charles Street in Cortland.
Matthew Cochran, 28, of that address, was found to be in possession of bath salts, heroin, marijuana, hydrocodone and Suboxone. He also had digital scales and packaging material used in the sale of drugs and while being fingerprinted at the police department he started fighting with officers.
Cochran was arrested at 8:30am and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of controlled substance, both felonies. He was also charged criminal use of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a controlled substance and obstruction of governmental administration, all misdemeanors and unlawful possession of marihuana, a violation.
He was sent to jail with no bail to appear in city court on June 27th, 2018.
