A deceased man found Tuesday in the town of Taylor has been identified as 30-year-old Brandon Thompson from the Cortland area.
His death is still being investigated, but at this time authorities on the case do not suspect any foul play.

The death of a 30-year-old man from the Cortland area is under investigation, after Officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department found his body on Tuesday (March 31) while following up on a different case in the town of Taylor.
According to Sgt. Chad Burhans, the officers were on Elwood Road just past 11 am when they observed a male subject laying about 50 yards off the roadway in a wooded area who was found to be unresponsive.
A member of the County Coroner’s Office responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene, then brought to Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton for an autopsy – the results of which have led officials to believe there was no foul play involved.
The family of the victim has been notified.
