A Friday night argument with a woman led to charges for a man from Cortland.
City police say Mason Crandall, who is 26, was arrested a little after 9 pm for damaging a stove in an Elm Street home.
Officers add that he fought with them and tried to hide oxycodone pills in the back of the patrol car on the way to the station.
Crandall is charged with Criminal Mischief, Drug Possession, Resisting and Tampering with Evidence.
He was released and is due back in Cortland City Court June 27.
Matthew White, 31, of DeRuyter, was arrested Saturday just before midnight.
Cortland Police say he was going the wrong way on Central Avenue.
Whits was also charged with DWI and is to return to City Court June 27.
A man who is accused of damaging a TV and DVD player at a home on Port Watson Street on Thursday was arrested the next day by Cortland Police.
Officers say Julian Jones, 24, told them he didn’t have a place to live.
Jones was charged with Criminal Mischief, released, and is due back in Cortland City Court June 20.
New York State Police arrested David Rath, 34, of Groton, just before 3 am Saturday morning.
According to the police report, Rath was involved in a domestic dispute about an hour earlier in the Town of Groton.
Troopers say that Rath strangled and struck the victim’s head against a piece of furniture and charged Rath with felony Strangulation and Assault and released on bail.
Rath was taken to the town of Groton Court for arraignment and sent to the Tompkins County Jail awaiting $2,000 cash bail.
A man from Marathon surrendered to New York State Police Friday evening, following a burglary just before midnight on June 2 in Marathon.
Robert Anderson, 31, faces a felony Burglary charge and troopers say he was released until his next court date.
