Beginning today in Downtown Cortland, construction crews will begin to implement the new Main Street water mains into the existing water mains along South Main Street.
With this, land closures will occur on Port Watson and Tompkins Street and water service disruptions on properties on South Main from Port Watson/Tompkins Street to Williams Street will occur.
Crews will also continue their installation of new water service connections for properties on the west side of Main Street from Orchard to West Court Street. This work will also require water service disruptions.
For tomorrow, more lane closures are expected on Port Watson and Tompkins Streets as water mains will continue to be connected to existing mains. Water services on Tuesday will affect properties on Port Watson Street between Main Street and Church Street until work is completed.
