Construction of 4-Tenant Shopping Plaza at 879 Route 13 in Cortlandville Delayed to Next Year
Construction at 879 Route 13 was anticipated to begin this summer after the greenlight was given by the Cortlandville Planning Board and Town of Cortlandville back in May. However, due to unforeseen scheduling delays, construction work is now expected to begin sometime next year.
During Tuesday’s Cortlandville Planning Board meeting, the board unanimously approved a one-year extension of approvals for the project at 879 Route 13. Project manager, Troy Beckwith, said in a letter to the board, he remains committed to completing the project as approved by the town.
The project would build a 6,500 square foot small shopping center between 7Brew and AT&T, the site of the old Garcia’s Restaurant. Renderings show space for up to four tenants, no tenants have been officially announced yet by the developer.
Access to the property will be off of Route 13 and also the rear of the building, connecting to the neighboring properties at 877 & 873 Route 13, providing access to Lime Hollow Road.
