The Cortland County Health Department today (May 27) confirmed a potential COVID-19 exposure from a shopper at the Walmart located on Bennie Road in Cortland.
Those who shopped at the Walmart on Sunday, May 17 between 5pm and 6pm should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days and try to stay home as much as possible. If symptoms do develop, self quarantine at home and call their doctor for further instructions.
Some people who are positive for COVID-19 may show no signs or symptoms, so it is critical to stay at home as much as possible. Maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet apart at all times if in public and wear a cloth face mask. Wash hands often, cover coughs and sneezes, and disinfect surfaces.
