A State Comptroller audit of the Racker Centers 2017 and 2018 Consolidated Fiscal Reports revealed some needed improvements.
Racker is a non-profit special education provider to children ages 3-5 with disabilities in nine Central New York counties.
Out of a total of $4.3 million in state reimbursements, nearly $200-thousand was questioned for reasons such as inadequate record keeping.
The audit determined the State Education Department needs to provide more guidance so that Racker can properly claim reimbursements.
