Club president Dean Smith said the effort runs until February 15. Those wishing to participate can do so by donating to United Way for Cortland County’s annual fundraising campaign.

Smith and UWCC president Christella Yonta discussed more during yesterday’s live on-air Gas & Grocery giveaway, presented by CFCU.

Yonta also gave an update on the campaign, which recently cleared half the yearly $380k goal.

CCSC is best known for running the Corn Ducky Derby each spring.

This year is the 25th anniversary of the event. It got pushed to a virtual affair last year, due to the ongoing pandemic.

Typically, proceeds are used to support area youth programs, but Smith said they’ll now help stock local food programs.
