The City of Cortland Common Council met last night at City Hall. During the meeting, the Council voted to approve authorizing a citation fine for vehicles parked in the city’s municipal parking lots between the hours of 3am to 6am without a valid residential parking permit.
Vehicles parked between the hours without a proper permit will be issued a $35 citation. If the citation is not paid within 7 days, the amount rises to $40 and increases again to $55 after 30 days.
The fine is the same as those who park on city streets between the same hours.
