During the City of Cortland’s Common Council meeting last night, the council voted to approve the Mayor of Cortland’s appointments to the Planning Commission and the Board of Public Works.
Cortland Mayor Scott Steve has appointed Mike Swartwout, who is a certified construction manager, to fill the vacancy within the City of Cortland’s Planning Commission. Like with all appointments by the mayor, it was required to be approved by the Common Council by vote during their meeting. Swartwout’s term will go through December 31st, 2025.
Additionally, for filling the vacancy on the Board of Public Works, Mayor Steve has appointed Alan Ricottelli to fill in the vacancy. He is currently part of the City of Cortland’s Department of Public Works as the Deputy Superintendent. Ricottelli’s term will also go through December 31st, 2025.
