A $41-million budget for Tompkins Cortland Community College is on its way this week to the local legislatures.
On Thursday, trustees at the College approved the spending plan which has a 5.7% increase.
Lawmakers in Cortland and Tompkins counties will have a couple of days to try to make sense of the spending plan.
Tuition will go up $140 for full-time students.
In a statement to reporters, the school says there is no increase in contributions from the two counties, which together pay about 11% of the costs, which is down one-percent from last year.
The vote for the Tompkins County Legislature in Ithaca is Tuesday. The Cortland County Legislature may decide on Thursday.
The SUNY board gets it in September (after the new fiscal year is underway.)
