Firefighters from Freeville, Dryden and several other neighboring departments were roused around 2am, in the middle of a cold night for a large house fire in Brooktondale. The extra help was needed due to the fire being difficult to put out, and the extreme wind chill. Everyone got out safely. The cause could be a chimney fire.
