City Police urge residents to lock up

City of Cortland police are reminding the public to be mindful of keeping their homes and vehicles locked, after investigating at least seven larceny case from motor vehicles over the weekend.

Lt. Michael Strangeway said the incidents happened primarily during the overnight hours and were spread out in location throughout the City.

All items reported stolen came from vehicles that had been left unlocked. None were broken into or damaged in any way.

Residents are reminded always to keep their homes and vehicles locked and report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood to police.
