City police deliver fresh produce to residents
Local News October 9, 2020City of Cortland police officers handed out 360 cases of fresh fruit and vegetables over the past three weeks and say they’ll likely have another 120 cases next week.
That’s all thanks to USDA’s Farms to Families program — along with the helping hands of folks like Deputy Chief Paul Sandy and Officer Trevor Wenz, who have been making daily deliveries.
CPD says they pick random neighborhoods for distribution but are always open to suggestions.
