The City of Cortland Common Council meets tonight, January 3rd, at 6pm at City Hall in the City of Cortland. One of the items on the agenda is to declare January 14th, 2023, a day to honor Dan McNeil in the City of Cortland.
The honor is to recognize McNeils work as a businessman and developer with his mission to serve the community through renovations and creation of properties that helped encourage revitalization and provided business and employment opportunities in the city.
The recognition also notes McNeils support and active work in philanthropic and civic organizations with the Rose and Dan McNeil Foundation, an organization of supporting music in the community.
The date chosen for honor will be Dan McNeil’s 100th birthday, and is the City of Cortland’s expression of gratitude.
